paint scratches

Depending on the depth, you may not be able to get them out. If they are light surface scratches, color sand with 1000 grit, then 1500 grit, and buff with compound followed by a step 2 compound and finally carnuba wax. If the scratches are to the primer or just too deep to sand out, you can apply touch up paint to the scratches and let cure. After curing, repeat the above color sanding steps.

I would get a buffer and get some buffing compounds and go to work.I would find a paint shop that sells buffing compounds and go in and ask there advise. You could just try to polish them out with the buffer ist.Or just read the different buffing compounds and get what is for the problem you have.I would wet sand s the final resort it takes time and you must watch you don't go thru the top coat. The buffer will burn thru it to if you don't watch the edges of panels and ridges in the body.It is always safe to tape them off.
