Pictures of the NEW Kenne Bell 2.2 for a GT

Did they shorten the snout or set the blower back further to make it work with a single belt? I assume they had to lift it up so that the intercooler hoses could be connected?

It looks pretty cool !

It has a adapter plate..Ya,know..I never looked to see if they shortened the snout. My guess(could be wrong) is they used the 1.7 snout..It does have an 8rib kit with it..

Ahh those darn adapter plates. :rlaugh:

8 Ribs will definetly be needed with that deal. I also like the fact that they went with the bigger TB inlet tube. :nice:

Are you going to be able to run aftermarket fuel rails with this? I thought there was an issue with the 03's doing it but I guess if they raised it you should have more clearance.

Jay - I think I know where I'm going at this point. :bang:

Tom,Im going to try and fit aftermarket rails. If not,we'' have Jim @ RR make some for it..

Kit is sweet..Im dieing to dyno one of these cars.:)Still have a few odds and ends to get done before they are mounted. We should have results in just a few weeks.

What kind of hood would a 99+ 'Stang have to get? A 3" cowl hood? A Cobra R 2K hood? And does anyone know the exact price of this 2.2 KB SC?
Yeah, Greg - do it, do it!!! Be the first on the block to get one! I've got my tools ready! Hood? We don't need no stinkin' hood! :rlaugh: :nice:

Tim,

Will the blower fit the old intake or do you have to buy a whole new system? Like can you just switch the 1.7 for the 2.2? Can't wait to see the numbers, How far from Charleston are you? I would love to come see the instal and dynos.
I'm afraid to hear the answer on this, because that might just sway me. I've been thinking of going with a forged short block, reusing my KB of course, to allow for increasing my future power potential. Reusing some of the existing KB parts on this monster... well, that might just sway me.

It will require a built engine..
No chit. I someone puts this on there stock engine and does not uses alot of boost, then that person needs to get his a$$ kicked. :nonono:

That thing is huge. Looks like there modeling it from the 03/04 Cobra blower by looking at the intake.

Oh I want a Mustang. :(
