I'm in the middle of re-upholstering the seats, and I am not sure how to remove the round knob on the side of the front seats. It looks like a pin that I need to tap out of the shaft, but I'm just not sure enough to keep taping on it.

Anyone out there have any experience in pulling off this knob?

Any imput would be greatly appreciated.

Ah, thats just great..............lol, just may do that if I don't get any other ideas. Well now I am stuck on the headrest, I've got the old seat cover pushed up as far as I can, and I expected to find something that would allow the headrest to pull completely out of the seat back, but I don't see anything yet.
Does it come out?

Ok, I figured it out, in case anyone else does a search for this answer, here it is.

Flip the seat bottom over, the driveshaft that connects both sides together has some retainer pins on each end. the end closest to the round knob, put vice grip on the longer side and tap the side of the vice grip as you wiggle the vice grip back and forth as if you are screwing in and unscrewing the pin, this will work the pin out, then the knob on the side of the seat bottom will unscrew like a big bolt.
