Hey guys I was just wondering if there is a trick to doing a brakestand with a manual. I know the basic concept of it all but I cant get it to work. I try poping the clutch and then get on the brake right away and give her gas but it either just bogs down or it will spin a tad and slide forward. Anyone know what im doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You

What i do is a rev it up high, pop the clutch out, let the wheels start spinning for a second, then get on the brake allittle. If the car keeps rolling foward, gently give it a little more break. If it bogs, try letting of the break, but to me thats often to late to save the burn out.
DONT mash the break too hard in the beggining, it will bog it down. Be gentle and smooth when applying the break. Once you get to the point where it stops rolling, and your still spinning, you can just sit there and cross your arms, give the long horns sign, sleep, or whatever you choose... :)

p.s. i would not suggest doing burn outs that are longer then 5-7 seconds, as i hear that once you pass around 10 seconds, you really are melting the rubber off very quickly.
