i have a 67 fastback ,i stripped it down its up on jacks, the suspention is the only thing left to take off and ready to start replacing things the frame rails up front , floor pans , driverside rocker, trunk floor and part of the rear frame off the trunk are pretty rusted.. my question is
how do i tackle this can of worms
1 where do i start - front, middle, or back ( rockers , rails, or pans )
2 how do i support everything when one piece is off so it wont move or twist
3 is there a site or does anyone have frame diagrams with dimentions to make sure that things are square and in the right place
i posted a while back that its a father and sons project, we were making a room in my polebarn to do this, so we are ready to start it.
any info or tips would be greatly apriciated - thank you

I replaced my rear frame rails/ torque boxes, and held the car up by taking out the tank, and putting a piece of wood across the opening (from the bottom) and using a hoist to pull it all up. I left the front wheels/ suspension on when I did this. I didn't do anything special to square or align it, just common sense and going by where the old stuff I took out was.

When doing floorpans, brace the door openings before cutting so the car won't try to "fold" in half. Same for the frt parts; brace it as much as you can. I have asked many times for frame dimensions and nobody seems to have them. Try making a buddy at a frame/body shop and see if they can look anything up for you.

Lots of Mustang parts vendors have the reproductions of the Ford "assembly manuals". Look for the series of manuals which are divided into separate volumes - you want the "Welds and Sealant" manual for your car. It should give all the pertinent unibody dimensions.
