I have a notchy shifting T56 in my '03 Cobra. Anyone else seeing this issue? It is notchy on the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts more when it is cold but even when it is warm. I was thinking of trying Redline Synthetic D4 ATF for T56. Anyone out there running the Redline fluid? Anyone else seeing issues with their T56?
Cobra only has 16,000 on it and I am concerned this issue is only getting worse.

Thanks for any help...

Im sure that pro 5.0 helped out a bunch. How do you like it? I just want something that shifts much cleaner and smoother than stock, but Im not too big on the 'short throw' because i dont really race right know; im tall and i need the longer handle(even longer than stock) any info on goo oem replacements would be appreciated.

Love my Pro 5.0. I have an MGW handle mated to it. The Pro 5.0 WILL NOT make shifting smoother though. It will be more positive with a mechanical click feel as you snick the lever into gear. It will also assist in making the 2-3 shift more reliable. They do make other handles for the Pro 5.0 that may better suit your needs. Roush makes a longer handled shifter also.

Does it get rid of the stock shifters jumbled mess of a gear box? I hate the way I have to push it until it grabs twice to get into gear. I want the porsche or bmw shifter feel.

Changing the fluid will help, but the only thing that really fixed this problem for me was an aftermarket clutch quadrant and firewall adjuster. Had problems with my '03 (even grenaded a tranny!) until I put a Steeda quadrant and adjuster in it. I tried changing the fluid first, but it didn't help near as much as doing the clutch parts. That's why an adjuster and quadrant were the first things I bought for my '04. :nice:
