I recenetly purchased a 2003 GT with a 5-speed, I upgraded to Flowmasters, BBK off road x pipe and mil eliminators. Whats the deal with the x pipe, its all tight and no exhaust leaks and its not rubbing on the frame anywere but it makes a loud metal rasping noise at lower rpm's almost like a shield rattling noise but i have no idea, any info would help, thanks

That is just what an x sounds like. If you want the more traditional muscle car sound then go with an h-pipe. Much deeper sound to it. I have twister mufflers on my car and i love them. alot of you probable have not heard of them but it is one of the more popular mufflers at my local muffler shop. they sound great. very similar to a traditional glass-pak type muffler but they are louder and deeper.

^ no thats stupid, you just got the two worst possible X-Pipes. Most of them (the "true" ones) won't make all those crazy scraping/rattling noises.

It's b/c of BBK and Bassani that EVERY x-pipe gets a bad name

That is just the way a BBK O/R X-pipe sounds with chambered mufflers. I ran one on my cobra for about two weeks with flowmasters, it sounded like complete crap with all the metal rattling noises it gave off. I have a VRS O/R X-pipe on my cobra now and its sounds just plain sick with the flowmasters.
