What year (if any) Cobra front bumper cover will bolt up to my 99GT?

I had a Cervini's Cobra-R front fascia, however it has recently been killed by the streets of washington DC. I've seen the FRPP Cobra Bumper conversion kit which goes for around 350, but I'm wondering if I can just get a front bumper cover and have it bolt up...

Anyone?

Thanks

Fobras = :notnice: If you have a GT don't try to fool people into thinking you have a Cobra. True stangers will know when they see your car that it isn't a real Cobra and will look down on you.

Uh, I'm not trying to fool anyone. I think the stock GT bumpers look stupid.

Besides, before I had a Cervini's Cobra R front fascia... Next you'll tell people not to get those because you'll be a "Fobra-R"..

Anyhow, if someone can answer this question I'd appreciate the help.

Build your car for you, not this guy.

The 99-01 Cobra Bumper is a bolt on replacement for your GT's... you'll have to do a little wiring work for the different fog lights.

I want to do this upgrade too, it looks sweet, Ford should have put this bumper on later GT's, it has fog lights that actually work worth a damn.

Ok perfect.. I knew there is that FRPP conversion kit (Cobra Bumber Conversion Yadda Yadd Kit) that retails for $375, but I was looking for a cheaper way out. I got a price for that kit over the phone from GEFRacing.com of 299 plus shipping, but the shipping from TX to DC is outrageous, so I'm kinda back where I started... The good thing about that kit is it has the fog lights and everything else, so I might roll around without paint on it initially and go that route... that is unless anyone knows a cheaper place to get cobra bumpers?

He could put a Honda Civic front end on it if he wants. He'll get :nonono: from other Mustang drivers either way.

Uh you have a shaker hood on a GT... Tell me how that's different than a Cobra front bumper cover on a GT.

:owned:

Whatever dude.

When I wrecked mine I had them put an 03 front bumper and hood on it since it didn't cost anymore for it. I know the 03 bumper will bolt onto the GT frame, but I think it has to be moved up or back a little to get rid of the space where the hood meets the top of the bumper. Also, I think you could get it from Ford for like 350.00. That's what mine cost.

Oh, and no one has ragged on me for doing this to my car because I am not running around with Cobra badges on it. Actually I had all my badges removed except the rear one which still says GT and my plates also say Wikkdgt. So, to each is own.
