Basically what the title states. I'm tired of blowing up t-5's and i already have a 3550 bellhousing and the necessary 26 spline input shaft clutch disc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I would say ebay, corral.net classifieds, or stangnet's classifieds. You don't have a radical setup though, how are you blowing up t-5's, why don't you just upgrade the synchrozed and make the t-5 stronger for 2 or 3 hundred bucks.
There is hopefully going to be H/I/C and a Single 60mm Turbo by spring. As far as t-5's blowing up its usually the 3rd gear grinding or the synchro's in general not liking being powershifted. Was thinking of a legitimate store where i don't have to necessarily worry about get screwed out of money by sending it and not getting the part.
I know you can buy a synchro kit and make the t-5 really strong. My friend upgraded hit t-5 with just the sychrozes and had a Blown 89GT with a bunch of ****. It has lasted for 2 years now and he takes it to the track once a week usually. I think you can get them from ford

I just bought a nice rebuild manual and have been studying it at work . I think a T-5 looks pretty easy to repair the FORD way.
I wish I had acrobat writer. Man I'd put this manual up. Its a Ford Manual like if I was going to school on T-5's. It rocks. Would be cool to have the bench tranny holder thats pictured on it. I just don't want to have to replace crappy syncros, that all T-5's wear out if you like to run. I am super careful on this Cobra, I blew out the 1-2 in my Mustang within 6 weeks. Sucky synchros! Now I am going to do my own rebuild. Kick Azzz.
I really dont want to spend 2000+ up to Tremec TKO thus replacing my tranny because Ford put s h i t in the tranny dept on Mustangs.
replacing the synchros will hold up more, but think of those weak 10 spline input shafts, decent torque and power will snap it in two, the tko uses a 26 spline input shaft and a 31 output..i think 31, its much bigger than the factory.
