I just got a 97 Gt and the driver seat is all the way back and i still having trouble fitting in it. Does anyone know what i can do to make the seat go back further so my legs will fit. I was thinking of buying longer tracks for the seat to slide on but i dont even know if they make those.

Possibly remove your seat rails and install them farther back. You could also purchase some aftermarket seats (sit further back on some models), with aftermarket seat rails. I almost hit my head on the roof of my stang, and I am 5'6".

thanks for the feedback, how do i remove the seat rails? is it just bolts or something?

Kenny Brown seat rail extenders. They are 100 dollars per seat and create more of an angle meaning when you scoot the seat back it will also go lower. I noticed this improvment the first time i sat in the car after installation. I actually had to raise my seat a little, which i never did before(because it still sat to high). ANd I found I now have to move my seat forward now because of the extra inches allowed by this kit. Im 6'2" and I think some one who i s6'6" would be happy after installing this kit. ANd it still moves forward far enough to allow a shorter person(5'6" for example.)

I don't know how you guys are doing it. I'm 6'4 and I have a hell of a time fitting in my stang. My knees rub the console by the steering wheel. I feel like a circus bear riding a tricycle. Rip the front seats out and sit in the back. :nice:

:rlaugh: I'm 5'11 and fit fine  I'd go with some aftermarket seats? APC makes some cheapy seats if you don't want to dish out money for Sparco or Recaro or Corbeau. They should give measurements on the sites though so you could see if they're any shorter.
Good luck :nice: , or get a vert lol.

thanks for the feedback. Im gonna check my cars seat rails, i think that the seats are just stuck on the rails because it has really small space. smokin'Red35th i am 6'4 also, it must mean that theres something stopping the seat from going all the way back because right now theres like no moving space at all.
