Kenne Bell question

I've had my KB 9 lbs inter cooled on for about 1 1/2 years. I drive it every day, year round. I've put 40k miles on my car since the install. I've been down the 1/8 mile about 20 times and run the 1/4 12 times or so. I drive the **** out of my car. The engine is completely stock other than the KB. I run 91 octane. I will be upgradeing to the larger TB and Air meter this year. I'm also adding 3.73 gears. In the far future I would like to build a new lower compression engine so I can bump up to 14 psi.

P.S. My wife even drives this car, she just never gets on it, but its very tame if you keep your foot out of it. Best investment I've ever made car-wise.

Hey 02GT, did you change the oil in your KB? The manual says 4-5oz of 50wt, but during the initial fill, we didn't get close to that before it reached the middle of the dipstick rings. When I went to change it, I got out 2oz and only got about 2.5oz in before it was full. Did you get anything like that?

My wife drives mine also, she too never gets into it. I wish she would so I could hear what it sounds like taking off. She never leans on it when she takes off. I always tell her so I can hear the exhaust also. But like stated above, you don't even know it is there unless you lean on the throttle a little more than needed for regular acceleration (for normal people), just a quiet whine coming from under the hood and gettin louder as the rpms climb, and then screaming when your at WOT. Now I have to go drive my car, peace. :D

Yeah I had the same thing happen. I've changed the oil 3 times. I checked the KB oil level about every 6k just to keep an eye on it. Its very hard to read the dipstick but on the last oil change I found that its easier to read the stick when the oil is really cold. You may want to add more oil and keep the level at the full line instead of half way, If you over fill you can always take it back out. I use about 3 foot of 1/4 inch hose and a hard plastic silly straw to suck out the oil :rlaugh:

Me too, I never get to hear my car, except from the inside.
