New to forum 5.0L Questions

I bought a wrecked 88 5.0L and I am swapping it in a 85 tbird 30th ed.
Iam going through the engine clutch and trans. I found a gear oil not
dextron in the t5. Any ideas on flushing it and recomend a good fluid? The engine had 30 psi hot at idle and ran nice. I have tore it down and found everthing ok so new gaskets and clutch for now. Any idea on a good clutch and good
gaskets.

I really like the ford OE clutch if your doing a stockish type setup... Otherwise i really like the king cobra clutch for any sort of power. As for tranny fluid i would use synthetic mercon. Now for gaskets don't cheap out go buy ruber oil pan and composite valve cover gaskets or you will regret it later. now for flushing out the trans i would just use brake parts cleaner if you think it has to be done otherwise I would just change it, then change it again in a month.

Just buy a felpro gasket kit and go to town!
