I'm going to be putting in the Bassani and FRPP shorties next weekend, and I'm looking for some ideas on how I can plug/cap the tube that is supposed to hook up to the air tube from the air pump. I've heard of using a bolt with a flared head, and also using the tube that comes with the Bassani and shoving a bolt in that too.

Optimally, I would like to have it cut off flush and welded shut, but there are no good welding shops in the area. I've also considered using one of those copper pipe caps that plumbers use and just sticking it on there with some ultra copper RTV.

Any ideas guys? I'd like it to be as clean as possible, and I don't want to damage the pipe itself...stainless is not cheap, and it better last me awhile. ;)

To close the air tube on my prochamber I used a hose clamp to secure heater hose to the metal air tube. Then I shoved a lug nut into the hose and put a bolt with teflon sealant tape on it into the lug nut. I clamped that in place with another hose clamp. This way I can always remove the plug and it looks new.

Pretty similar to mine. I re-used the rubber hose that connected the exhaust tube to the smog tube. I then shoved a copper cap into the end and clamped it down. The copper cap is used to cap off water lines in your home, which can be found in any plumbing section of your local hardware store. Works like a champ.
