Has anyone heard of a potential major problem and/or recall on the `05 Mustangs. A friend of mine is telling me of some major issues with the Support arms (A frame) in the front end of the Mustang. The A frame is giving way and of course provides immediate loss of control of the car.

I know at the speeds that I drive my new `05, the last thing I need is to lose control. Have been unable to locate anything on official channels. Nothing listed via the FORD site under my VIN# either. Supposedly, this message started at FORD on 4/30/05.

I'm sorry if this is not the correct area to post this issue.

UPDATE I apologize for the misinformation, but my friend just told me that he got his info incorrect. Just as ya'll have already stated, he was talking about the FORD GT. Sorry for the confusion, but I really do appreciate all of the quick responses.

I knew if I needed to know something quick, I should post the question here.

Thanks again

He's talking about the $150,000 Ford GT, not the Mustang GT. The June C&D has an article on this embarrassing episode.

If I had laid down that many bones for a Ford GT I would be PISSED! Nothing like completely losing your face, huh Ford?

Well everyone screw up sometimes, especially when they're trying to make it as light weight as it is. I mean common, a 5.4 V8 liter cathcing up to a 8.0L V10 viper, that's crazy good.

Not just catching up...passing, and quickly I might add. But, for a $150,000+ super car, you'd expect a little more QA.
