I read previous posts. One difference I've noticed is no one else mentioned the little silver box by their battery. One of the 2 things there is making a buzzing noise, sometimes when i hit brakes, or open the door, or reverse lights go on. just about anything that uses power.

Im certain a wiring issue but why the buzzer?? Primary consern is this buzzer.

I got a new alternator, batter, and solenoid. Tomorrow if i cant fix before then i'm pulling my starter and going to get it checked. I bought new ground cable for battery and cleaned where it goes,(above a/c pump.)

i dont see any melted wires, or sparks shooting, after i get the car started it will stay running, but if i turn on the radio/air/headlights, or combo of any rpm's drop like a mutha/car dies.

HEY,, could that buzzing noise be the voltage regulator.

Would you guys see that as being the buzz, and if soo does it seem
plausible that it would be drainin my battery.

In question, changing the external voltage regulator may fix?

The little silver box is your voltage regulator. It shouldn't be buzzing. They're not that expensive, go ahead and swap it for another one. If this one pops, you've got a wiring issue to dig into. I hate troubleshooting things this way, but sometimes its just easier.

i should have looked closer, it's the other silver box buzzin,

what is this (relay? to what?)

alternator is pushing 7.4
a guy told me that there were single thread wires used as fuses, and one of these may have blown, im about to check all the wires he pointed at and a few more,

7.4 is LOWWWWWW Get a new alternator :nice:

that buzzing is prolly a relay that is stuck open and arc-ing over. I had a problem like that back in january. I ended up having to tear into the wiring harness, to find two wires that had shorted out. I guess im lucky the car didn't burn down.
