With the right tools it is a 30 to 45 minute job. Hardest part on some is getting them sitting and lined up properly. I had a small alignment issue withe the drivers side. But by loosening the hanger bolts I was able to get it looking good.

What do you mean by loosing the hanger bolts. I had a he** of a time getting mine lined up and it is still not as perfect as I would have liked. Drivers side also. Other than that it is a really easy job.

Check this thread out. If you are skinny I imagine you could do it with the car on the ground. I used the drive up style ramps ($30) and it was cake. Didn't even have to roll out the floor jack

Just remember that some people have not been too happy with the flowmaster's on their GT's.

I ran flowmasters for about 4 hours before I decided to take them off in favor of the SLP system.

i got the flowmaster axle back kit, and i would not change it for the world!!!! it was a very easy install, and sounds/looks good too!!i did it all on the ground, without lifting the car in any way. a ratchet wrench will help out tremendously!!! well worth the money....($285 shipped) i have had them installed since the beginning of April, and about 5000 miles later, they still sound great....no problems what so ever.....

I installed in my garage on the ground - 30 -45 minutes. Drove with then for a week, took them of. I thought they sounded (in the cabin) like coffee cans on a Honda. They do sound good from the outside though. Also, they drone almost as bad as my '98 GT did with Flows all those years back. Cruising in 5th at 1800rpms rattled my eardrum a little too much. My wife laughed at me say I'm getting old. Guess she is right.

The 05 mustang sounds totally different with flows on it compared to an SN95 for some reason. I didn't like the sound compared to mine when I had just flows.

I could not stand the sound of my flows, they droned way to bad for me!

I have flows on my truck and they are not near as annoying as the flows on my stang.

the only time there is drone in my car is when you are trying to accellerate in too high of gear, downshift and it is good. just cruising, it is quiet...

Guess I'm not alone. To contrast, I had an '04 MACH 1 I put straigt through magnaflows on. It was too quite! I gotta say that the stock exhaust is pretty good if all you want is a little tone.

Howerever yesterday i rode in an 05 which had flowmasters and i loved it

I hear what you guys are saying. At one time (20 years ago) I had a '79 Trans Am with a Olds 455cid long tubes, and the old glasspacks, minus the glass. I loved it!
