Decided to toss the turbo in favor of a 20 gell cell batteries. Not sure how to wire up the Safety Switch though.

That my friend is an original 1982 Ford "Jet Electrica" Escort. Not many left. 20 full size batteries and a top speed of 65mph. If interested there is one on Craigslist for $8500

I think that's great! I'd love to have an electric, as I only live 2 miles from work. It seems such a waste to drive that short distance.

Cant be THAT heavy Dave (is it? lmao )yes, but from what little I have read and years of experience with electric motors...they make peak torque all through the rpm band. So 115hp potential right on tip in, i bet she goes ok even at that weight
I wouldnt go racing more than light to light though
