Roush Seems to be the recipe for more power from the S4...

Following other threads on here regarding mods to the S4 equipped cars, I just received or will be ordering the following parts...

Received...
- 03/04 Cobra Tank and Pumps (New, $699 Randy Stinchcomb)
- FRPP 42 lb Injectors (New, $239.95 eBay)

Ordering Today...
- Reichard Racing 2.85" pulley (New, $150 RR direct)
- SCT Big Air MAF (New, $230 Bristol Dyno)
- SCT Xcal2 (New, $349 Bristol Dyno)

I currently have an Accufab 75mm throttle body and JLT cold air kit. I hope to have all the parts in by next week to dyno and tune. I'm debating on whether to order a Magnaflow catalytic X-pipe as well.

The reason I went with the Cobra tanks and pumps and the SCT MAF rather than a Focus pump and LMAF, is that I intend to go bigger in the future and want parts to support bigger numbers down the road. Otherwise, I could have saved a good amount of money as I'm sure some people would have mentioned. I also like the baffled Cobra tank for road racing and autocrossing.

Can hardly wait

I was thinking about going with the cobra setup for my car, $699 doesn't seem like a bad price for both. Can you give me a link to their site?

Thanks

Call Randy Stinchcomb at Liberty Ford in Baltimore, Maryland. The dealership's phone number is (410) 655-2000, his extension is 5618.

He also has his own section on Modular Depot located here...

Ford Parts

I looked all over the net, on eBay, and at local shops for the best price on the pumps and tank and best I could do was Randy. Total shipped was $725...ordered Thursday and UPS delivered Friday evening.

Here are the part numbers you need if you don't buy from Randy...

03/04 Cobra Baffled Tank P/N 2R3Z-9002-AA

03/04 Cobra Fuel Pump P/N 2R3Z-9H307-AA

From what I've researched, if you don't want the tank and pump, you can get away with just installing the Cobra dual pump assembly in your stock GT tank, but wouldn't recommend running less than 1/4 tank unless you have it sumped.

Reichard Racing Makes a 2.85 Pulley? The Smallest they told me was 3.0 Thats whats sitting in my garage right now......It would be on but it doesnt line up with the other pullies, it just keeps Shredding belts. I need to Car RR.

The 3.0 is the smallest they stock...custom sizes available upon request. I just got off the phone with them and they will make as small as a 2.7". I left my name and number for a custom 2.8" and was told wait time is approximately 6 weeks. They have a lot of big orders to fill and Chicane put in for a bunch of S5 pulleys and he is going to try and squeeze mine in when they make those. As long as a 6 week wait and as quick as 3-4.

Wow Didnt know that. My 3.0 Took about 6 weeks. And it aint much smaller than the stock Pulley. It wont fit right now either

Well, instead of waiting for Reichard Racing I went ahead and ordered from Chicane Sport Tuning and got one of their pulleys. They are cheaper too...$119 vice $150 for RR's.

He couldn't give me a size, but they are the smallest he could possibly manufacturer. Suppose to give an additional 2-2.5 lbs more boost over the stock pulley. Should arrive in about a week.

The Chicane pully is 66mm (2.6")

i read on buyfordracing.com that it says recalibration needed for the LMAF when put on other vehicles, im guessing this means you just cant put it on your mustang, what would you have to do to recalibrate?
