Tell me if it's true or not....
I heared that if you unplugged the connector at the output shaft end of the manual transmission (on the 5th gear?) on a GT, that the only thing it would do is that the car would go over 150 because that sensor (according to what I've heared) on ly purpose is to tell the computer that the 5th is engaged and after that, when the 5th is in gear the computer check out the speed to lock it at 150.
Fact or dream?

Thanks!

First no...don't have a tuner yet. I plan to get one to be able to tweek the car a bit..but, well I think....I'm not so dumb....I new that probably I could be able to throw the speed limiter out with a tuner, but in fact I wanted to know if this story of sensor was true, that's all.
And secundo (with a 3.55 gear), you don't have to crank up the rev limiter to pass 150 mph (240 Km/h) because when you shift from 4th to 5th at 6000 rpm you are actually at 220 Km/h. When engaging the 5th you past from 6000 rpm to about 4000 I think and you hit 240 Km/H (150 mph) at about 4500. So, no rev limiter tweek needed at this point.
Does somebody know if the stock engine is able to bring the car at 6000 rpm in 5th? It would do something like 200 mph!!! Kind of crazy! Must not be....
Have a good day!
