I have a 98, and I was intrested in purchasing BBK long tubes. I was talking to the tech guy at BBK, he said that the emmision tubes need to be bent/ modified for them to bolt up correctly. Has any one installed BBK headers on a 98 COBRA. This problem is unique to this year. Any sugestions?

I had bbk's on my 98 - we did have to modify them a bit. The pulse air fittings that attach to the headers are bent at the wrong angle. You have to cut them off, and re-weld them - then attach them with high temp hoses.
Not that big a deal

What Fittings I Have A Diagram From Ford. Thier Are Two Fittings Both On The Drivers Side Header. WILL I HAVE TO DO THE SAME TO THE PASSANGER SIDE? B/C THEIR ARE NOT FIITINGS THEIR. One Is In Front Near The Radiator, The Other Is Near The Firewall. Which One Is It? Do I Have To Cut And Weld The Header Side Or The Egr Side. I Also Dont Have A Welder Readly Avalible. Will A Pipe Bender Do The Job?

One is for the egr (the back one)- on mine, the egr went in with no modifications. Its the pulse air fittings that are the culprits -and there is one on both sides, in the front. I suppose you could reshape the tubing instead of cutting and welding. Or, you could just delete the pulse air and cap off the fittings on the headers - it is not needed. But do not delete the pump or you will throw a code! Just let it blow air down. The pump is in your fenderwell -passenger side.
