Does any one know if insurance companies offer a discount if you have the AAT (active anti-theft) system over the standard alarm? If so I want to change this b4 my order actually gets pulled. If not I dont see much of a reason for getting it. Thanks in advance

How much are you guys paying for insurance anyway? For my V6 (when I get it), it'll be $381.07 for 6 months full coverage, $500 deductible. Twenty-seven yrs. old, with a clean record. 50/100/50 coverage. Underinsured included.

i asked my stae farm agent about that and she said its just a selling line for the dealer. she said no insurance company offers a discount for an alarm system.

Quoted $224 a month for 06 GT 5 speed. 22 years old clean recored.

I have the anti-theft system and I don't get a discount. I am 20 years old and have my insurance through Allstate. I was originally quoted over $1200 every 6 months to be insured, but after they looked at my record I am only paying just over 400 for every 6 months.

thats pretty cheap for a 20 year old. What state do you live in, i expect my preimium to be higher because i live in LA but not by that much.

Yeah, that's really cheap for a 20 year old. I pay $130/mo on the Magnum (which was the same as my Mustang), I'm 23. That's full coverage, $0 deduct comp. Everyone I talk to says that's excellent, (btw, I'm with state farm). Less than perfect record. Thing I like about them is I got in my wreck and somehow, my insurance went down. My g/f pays $130, that's for full coverage on the '05 GT and full coverage on her '96 Aurora. This is all with State Farm. At least for around here, we get a darn good deal.

I screwed up on mine. That $381.07 for 6 months is my total for both of my cars. My current car, a 96' Cavalier is liability only and is like $116 or so for the six months. My payment for the Mustang for 6 months is $265, or about $44 a month.

$44 dollars a month for the mustang!!! geezz.

Is that for full coverage, that can't be right. What insurance company do you have???

yes,. but unitrindirect isnt a very well known company. Or, not in the State of CA it isnt. Its like going down to Los Angeles and buying some insurance from the mexicans on the side of the street. (not being racist, but there are literally mexican people selling insurance on the side of the street) They sell them for like 24.99 a month or something.

Ill vouch for that.

I dont think i could trust a company like that. Im happy with state farm, my family has been with the same agent for like 15 years. so i always get top noch service.

You would think big names are always better. You would think. We had Geico before and someone hit my wife's PT Cruiser from behind and knocked her into the car in front of her. Well the guy that hit her had State Farm and refused to pay up so Geico said to just pay them the deductible so they could fix the car and they would go after State Farm no problem and we would be refunded our money that we paid. So we paid the $250 deductible to Geico and they fixed the car, about a month later Geico was kind enough to cancel our policy then a month later we got a letter from them saying that it was all settled and State Farm wasn't paying so sorry.
What a bunch of ****. All this time we paid the bigger insurance company more money thinking they would take better care of us then a smaller company. Right. I will pay this smaller Unitrin company less money and I seriously doubt they can treat us any worse than crappy Geico did.
Go ahead and pay more but I refuse to do it on the hopes of being treated better just because of a big name.
By the way it is nothing like buying insurance from some Mexicans on a street corner. They were rated an A by A.M. Best Co which is a big insurance rating company. Do a search and try and find an A rating by AM Best for any of those side of the road Mexican insurance companies then get back with me.

Why didnt you get a lawer, my lawer is working on one for me right now. Its great i dont have to do a thing (except pay him 33% of course). And in State Farms deffecse they offerd to pay my medical deductable, wich is someware around 4k, until my settlement came in.

My wife wanted to get a lawyer but I told her just to forget it, it would be easier just to get another insurance company than to try and fight them. I probably should have though.
Luckily no one was hurt in the accident but man I wanted to wring that old fart's neck who hit her from behind then lied about it and got away scott free.
