Well since i plan on buying the SLP loudmouth axle back system I was wondering how hard the install would/should be. I've never done anything to my car myself but I know by looking at the mufflers on the car now and the SLP system that the exhaust virtually bolts in place after you remove the stock axle back system. A friend's Dad already offered to let me use his tools and he would help me. My Dad seems to tell me that I need a professional to do the work even though there's no welding involved whatsoever. I really want to be the one who does most of the mods to my car, nothing over my head though. So is it worth saving the 25 dollars it would cost to get it installed? I have no mechanical experience at all; I only know basic mechanical things but no hands on experience.

Its a very easy install, takes about an hour with most of your time aligning them correctly. Be sure to let your exhaust cool for at least 20 minutes prior to removing the old ones.

Enjoy the sound for your first ride after the install. You will be pleased. :D

Go for it. The install is very easy, no mechanical skills needed. And yes, it's worth saving the 25 bucks to know it was done right. FYI: Jack it back up after a couple days and check that everything is still tight. A rattle on mine a few weeks later turned out to be a hanger bracket bolt that worked it's way loose. Good luck, you'll be swapin heads in no time.
