Right now I have a 2004 mach 1. Been thinking about trading it in on an 05 0r 06 GT. MIne has been making weird noises lately,so I figured I need to hurry up and get rid of it.....Anyway So a ford dealership called me this morning to tell me they had two left over GT's in white and windveil blue. Told me $24500. So I went up there to do some dealin. When I drive the 65 mile drive up there. They magically disapeared. So of course they tried to put me in a 06. Only one they had I liked was a tungsten grey with red seats. So we got to looking and what....$6,000mark up  They tried there very best to get me in it but in the end I just couldnt pay that much. They dropped down to $1000 mark up. They also told me $19000 on my car even without them seeing it. So I guess I will keep looking to find a perf yellow at the right price!Need to wait and put mine back stock anyhow! But the car did drive very nice. way to quiet thouh.

Screamin' Yellow....got it confused with Performance White. Lol But yeah thats a good idea. Just stick it out and get one for MSRP. No harm in waiting. (Unless your Mach dies). I'm guessing its outta warranty? Or your mods set it out of whats really wrong with it?

I would have told the person that screwed me saying that he had a few Gts in stock,That you better look over your back because one day somethings going to happen...(but say it where nobody hears you)...JohnnyT

Mine had a supercharger on it. It still has the factory warranty. But im afraid if I take it in the will void it after seeing it has had a chip installed. They will pay it off and give me a grand to play around with so Im happy about that.

......sorry about the confusion on the color. Not sure what I was thinkin :rlaugh:
Does anyone else think the tungsten grey looks purple under the sun??

I'm not a fan of Tungsten at all. Vista Blue really blew me away. Thats a brilliant color. Throw on some black rims....daaaaang.

But there isn't much that'll void your WHOLE warranty. Only if the problem is caused by the aftermarket part. Think the clicking or whatever is caused by what you installed? If so then you may be outta luck. If its unrelated then you're covered.

Get your car buy searching the inventories online.

Click on Locate Dealer, then it will list every dealer in 500 miles, pull up each big dealer ship and search their inventory from the drop down boxes on the left.

Remember some dealers charge a fee on top the sale so ask em before you drive up there.

That's how I found mine. Had to drive a couple of hundred miles to get one at MSRP but it was well worth it.

Been a long time since I haunted here but I'm going to be looking for my 4th Mustang and getting back into the stangnet group and I saw this thread and it made me chuckle a bit.

I was in a few months ago when my brother took his 05 Focus in for an oil change. i look at a GT in the show room and decide I am going to take one out since I hadn't driven one yet. Well after the test drive I'm of course quite satisfied with the car, my only issue is my 04 Mazda 3 still has a year and a half on it's lease. So basically I tell the salesguy I gotta sell my 94 Tbird SC and I'll likely be able to do it. Well one thing leads to another and it turns out I can't but the salesguy is pretty good, he politely E-mails or calls every couple weeks to give me updates on when the 06's are coming in, etc etc. No pressure just keeping on top of things which I appreciate.

Anyways sales dude calls me and says we have a Windveil Blue in stock that a customer couldn't keep, he needed to switch to a Mini Van and the dealership is looking to move the car. Since that's the colour I wanted I head down a day or two later and take a look (this was just past Wed.). Well it's a Windveil Blue, it has none of the options I want, it's basically just a stocker GT with nothing, 5spd and the only mod is the 3M rock guard thing on the hood. The car has 9800kms on it, It's not ideal but I could be swayed if the price is right to put the effort in to making it happen.

Me - "How much?"
Salesdude - "33500" (this is Cdn.)
Me - "$500 below a new one" (Seriously $34k list on that car).
Salesdude - "There is a little wiggle room though".

There better had be, so we go and walk around the dealership talking about how we'd accomplish the changes and upgrades I want (bullit wheels etc.). So we finish that we're in his office and I say so what's the wiggle room? He's like maybe $1000 more. I'm basically like yeah but no thanks. Not only does the car have none of the options outside of paint colour I want, but the dealership will not really give me any deals on the accessories or options to get it to where I want it outside of swapping the wheels "but I'd have to pay for the wheel swap labour".

Yikes. "It's the last one in town" he says, "I'm not in a rush for a car that doesn't meet my needs".

Basically I was pretty disappointed that my time was wasted, I mean if they came to actually make a deal, then great, but to bring me down there on a car that didn't meet my original feature list that we went over and then to insult me by offereing car with 10,000 KMS on it for only $500 off, $1500 if I "ground" them. Common.

Gotta wonder. I have no worries that they'll sell that car to someone, and I'll just wait for a late season 06 or early 07 with the features I want.

Yeah no reason to buy a car you won't be happy with. It'll be more than worth the extra time it takes to wait and get one the way you want it. Don't forget to go to Ford's website though, and check other dealer inventories within however large of a radius you are willing to travel.

Heh, yeah that's completely my thought process. I've owned 3 mustangs before, all great cars and then for one stupid reason or another I sold them and then regretted it within a few months. This time round I'm going to keep this one long term, like hand it on down to the kids kinda thing.

Salesfella called up today to follow up. I told him that the car was nowhere near the options I wanted and that for $500 off it wasn't worth my time and effort to get rid of my Mazda lease early. I told him that if they wanted to give a better deal on the car I would be more inclined. Considering they had the car out at some multiple dealership sale (like the big 3 in one big area sale) and they didn't sell it tells me they paid way too much for the car when they bought it back from the first guy.
