Noise from T-56... TOB?

When I am at idle (the only time I can hear anything) when I put the transmission in neutral, and let off of the clutch there is a very distinctive and repetitive clicking noise coming from my shift boot.

The deal is, when I push the clutch pedal back in, the noise stops. Anybody know if this is serious?

My T-56 has already eaten up a Centerforce TOB, but maybe I put the SPEC TOB in wrong when I swapped to the new engine??

Anyways, is this normal and can I just not worry about it?

Its practically brand new, I think we might have installed it wrong after the trans went back in.. Anyone know how long it will last or if the ticking will just be annoying and the car won't get hurt from it?

I'm bumping this because I have the same problem and figrued I'd search. Someone else had the same problem so I might as well try and find out what they did..
.
Anyways - Did you ever find out what fixed it?

I could be wrong but I don't think it is the TOB. When I replaced mine there was really only one way you could put it in. I'm guessing you could put it in backwards but you would have noticed when getting everything back together.

I don't know what the ticking could be...my TOB grinded then squealed like a pig when it was going bad.

i just fixed that exact problem. SPEC sends a crappy crappy TOB with they're kits and it fails and shreads the whole clutch. i had to put in a new clutch, so this time i did it right and went with a carbon coated TOB, the King Cobra clutch and the steeda adjustable kit (adj cable, firewall adjuster and the billit clutch quadrant). its definatly your TOB, fix it before you need the whole setup. and dont bother calling SPEC after it fails because i did and they pretty much told me to go **** myself. i wish steeda would stop pushing SPEC products so hard.
