I'm sure someone on here will correct me on this or even chung will if you buy from him, but why a stage 3? I think the stage 2 will hold your power tho? And also a stage 3 is a full lock up isnt it? BTW how did that smog pump work for you? peace

My stage 2 isn't holding. I am getting the smell after the end of every run. That's with 381hp and 585tq to the wheels. And yes it's not the brakes.

Summit will price match. They're hard to beat.
True, but i dont think they sell spec? I call jegs, summit, and let them fight it out. They both offer free shipping but they charge a handling fee or visa versa? When i order from summit i order on sunday and it's usually on my door by 7PM on the following wensday. Well worth the wait esp. if ya dont gotta have it right away. peace

I just got done breaking in my SPEC S3 with a Carbon puck. It was a bit rough at first (amount of throw required before it'd engage) but once it's broken it there is more room to slip it.

It's really not that bad, just a few tries to get the hang of it.

It grabs like a mofo too ... good to 680 ft lbs tq.

I purchased it from www.stangsuspension.com and used coupon code HOLIDAY05 for 5% discount.

I love the Spec stage 3 on my turbo scort :)

Never heard of a "full lockup" clutch but they definately DO grab a handful of flywheel :nice:
Ok i thought i heard that the stage 3 were bascially a lock up type as in theres not slipping it , but then you would know best! I'm bout due for another clutch as well i think when westle put in my spec 1 they didnt do something right? The pedal is like pushing in 200 LBS and it dont grab worth a ****! I pulled misha's car up in the lanes at PIR one night and there clutch was sooooooo easy to push in and they had a spec 2. peace

If by "lock up" you mean a clutch that provides little slip, then you are right about the stage 3. It is streetable, with a light pedal effort and awesome grip! My friend's stage 3 SPEC gripped so well, that eventually the input shaft twisted and broke clean off his T-45.
Your pedal effort on your car is likely a result of a heat-damaged clutch cable. Get a new one and put some heat wrap on it, as well as any of your exhaust system that comes near it. Otherwise, your problem will worsten until the cable breaks. I am speaking from experience on this one!
Also, steeda has a clutch cable specifically designed for those of us with fox tranny's in 94-95 cars. I put one on my car last spring and it made a world of difference. This cable is several inches longer than a regular 5.0 clutch cable, which seems to help with both pedal feel and fitment.:nice:

That clutch is not rated for that kind of torque. I am glad it lasted you this long- I have seen you launch! Though, I guess it out-lasted the differential.:rlaugh:
