Gas tank won't take gas, CD player won't play CD's...etc...

Try leaving the nozzel half out. I've not had a problem since i've been doing that!

Well I must be lucky, I havn't had a bit of problems so far with my 05. Im on my 3rd tank of gas and it flows right in without a problem and my shaker 1000 works fine. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I've got that gas fill problem, but it really depends on the gas station. I go to 2 stations. I have found 2 pumps that it works just fine. The pumps that have a high flow, and really sensitive shutoff cause the problem. A low flow pump works just fine. I'm sure Ford will come out with a retro fix for this. Just a different angle in the filler tube would fix the whole problem...

Is it just me, or did you just reply to a thread that has been dormant for 14 months?

Hey...just trying to keep from getting flamed for starting a new thread on an old topic. Regulars are tough on that kind of thing! HA!

Besides, old thread to you, but my car is only 2 weeks old car to me!

(And who knows...maybe I missed a TSB on a fix from Ford?)

To add to this thread here's another observation I made with fueling my 06: As long as I only fill with regular or premium fuel, there's not a fill problem. Only filling with midgrade (or 89 octane, also known as plus) have I noticed a fill problem. This is due to the station's pump setup. The newer stations mix the midgrade fuel at the pump, so you have two pumps feeding fuel into your car. Midgrade is a blend of regular and premium, so you have both the premium pump and regular pump filling your tank. That's where the problem is on mine. As long as I only use regular it fills just fine, there's only one pump feeding fuel and the flow rate is less than the midgrade's two pump rate. Some of the older stations still have a separate tank for midgrade, this fuel is blended at the rack when it's loaded into the delivery truck, and therefore is pumped into your car by a single pump like the other grades. Since I've found that my car runs no better, nor gets any better mileage with 89 or 93 octane fuel, I no longer use them and don't have problems filling my tank.

 Isn't it the Moderator's job to dump old threads  Or lock them to keep them from being resurrected ? :D
NO. Besides, the last 2004 post was before I was even moderator. I'm not going back through 2 previous years of posts to lock em down. I expect some sort of "self policing" by the forum members. We are all adults, I shouldn't have to baby sit members. Common sense should prevail.

:D Well if they can still be posted on, it means they're fair game.:D Kind of the same thing we have at one of the racks I load diesel at. They've got a "prestage" load screen separate from the rack to speed things. According to the terminal manager, when you prestage a load, it's only supposed to be in the system for a couple hours. But it doesn't work that way. You can stage another load, once you've loaded one. This saves a wasted trip in case you come back and there's no allocation for the account you're loading under, if you didn't prestage it after loading the previous load. The TM doesn't like it, but there's nothing he can do about it, the system allows it, so all's fair.:D
