That's what's weird. If you're pinging, that's a lack of fuel. What do you have the plugs gapped at, and what type of plugs are you running?

He thought it also might have been because it was my first tank of 93 octane. When I got gas a couple of days earlier, I still had around 1/4 tank, so the mix might not have been right.

I doubt it. Bone stock the 04 is making more power, and has better gearing.

Very true, but your forgetting one small detail. The 03-04 cobras weight 3660#s + (some weigh well over 3700). His GT will weigh in at about 3450.
Hes got about a 250-300# weight advantage, and most 03-04s seem to make 365ish. About 15-20 more than him. It would be a good race with a stocker..and I would give the GT a slight advantage. But its too close, and really comes down to opinion I guess. AKA drivers race.

That could be part of it. I ran 93 for 2-3 weeks before I put the blower on, but I'm anal like that.

I'd say you're probably pretty close to your peak at 6 lbs. Not knowing all of your mods.

I've got a 3.10 pulley at the house if you want to see what it makes at 12 lbs. ;)

what MAF are you using? did the tuner datalog load and actual timing?

the numbers aren't too bad for an otherwise stock car. but you definetly should be able to run more than 12* on 93 octane.

Lightning MAF.

Yeah, he had a Ford tool he was using to datalog while on the dyno.

I think we started around 9 degrees and tried to work up, but for some reason it kept pinging. This was with a 11:1 A/F too.
