I got all the bolts off, and got the mufflers off, but I can't seem to get the h-pipe free, it's free from the headers, but I can't get it off the car.

I've been pulling it backwards, it won't budge, should I pull harder? Is it stuck on something? Any little tricks to get this damn thing out will be nice.

How should I remove that?

I thing that is deffinatly what is holding it on still, I tried puttin a wrench around the h-pipe, and hitting the wrench with a hammer, trying to force it backwards, doesn't seem like it's getting me anywhere. I got the clamp off, but it seems to be firmly pressed on.

I got a large cable clamp from a hardward store tightened it down, then beat on the clamp to get mine loose.Mine.wasn't rusty tho,if yours is rusty you should be able to get it loose by heating it up with a torch (propane should work if you don't have an actelne)soak it with penitrating oil then beat on it again. You might have to heat it up a couple times.I wouldn't cut it cause then you'll be looking for a new pipe the old one will be to short to reach the h pipe.

I had the same damn problem with the smog hose clamp.

You're talking about the golden peice that looks like it could be on the end of a garden hose attaching it to an outside faucet, right?

I ended up giving up cause everyone was telling me to just cut it off, but then had others telling me my car wouldn't run right once it was removed. Anyone have a definite answer on this? I'd love to slap my O/R H Pipe on finally.

You can get a propane torch for cheap at a hardware store.. they come in pretty handy sometimes.

Does your new midpipe have a fitting for the smog tube? If not, there's no point in trying to salvage the hose, you'll just have to plug it, or JB weld it anyway.

It does have a fitting for the smog tube, I ended up cutting it short, and it's just hangin out now, I'm gonna try to get the other part of the metal out of it tomorrow, if I can't, i'll cut it short, and use a rubber grommet to hook the two together.

Here is my new question.

The passenger side 02 bung is further away, my wires won't reach, wtf am I supposed to do about that?
