I need to get a HP and QM guestimation before i put my supercharger on, and maybe you guess were ill be at afterwords. I just want to make sure this will get me were i want to be.

Ive got a 95GT convertable with these mods:
3.73 rear end
BBK Headers
Off Road H pipe
40 series flows,
Msd blaster coil
Ford Racing T5 superduty trans
BBK upper and lower controll arms
BBK subframe conectors
275/35-17 BFG drag radials in back
53,000 miles

Im adding a vortech S-trim supercharger at 8lbs.

What do you think im running now, and what will i be running afterwords

P.S. I know everyone hates these questions, but im just trying to get a good idea.

Where are you located? Elevation is a key to guessing this.

Without knowing your drag racing experience and the elevation, here are my ball park guesses.

Before the vortech... 14.8-14.7 at ~92mph

After the blower... 13.7-13.6 at ~103mph

verts are really heavy and not the fastest thing around.

your running a stock intake and heads, you have to figure that in. the stock intake is crap, its like a hooking a industrial 30" exhuast fan into a garden hose.

I was under the impresion that the convertable had a curb weight of only 170 lbs over the coupe, though i may have read wrong. I wouldnt think 170 lbs would slow one down too much. As for the intake i agree. What would you say my best bet is for an intake running a SC? I was thinking maybe a trick flow, but if there are betters ones around for my app. im all ears! Thanks for all the help by the way:D

When my vert had your mods it ran a 14.2 fwiw.

You ran a 14.2 with just gears and exhaust??? If so that's the fastest times I have ever heard of for a near stock car. I'm not one to normally call BS but there is no way I see a 14.2 from only those mods (3.73's and exhaust). With the same mods I ran a 14.96 at 91.5mph... that's a LONG ways away from a 14.2. Hell, for me to get into the low 14's it took gears, pulleys, exhaust, headers, TB, home made CAI, and an edelbrock intake. The result was a 14.3 at 97.2mph on street tires and a 13.8 at 98.5 on drag radials. I concider myself an above average driver too.
If you had pulleys and a low elevation track then I could see it being a possibility as the track I ran my numbers at is a solid 2 tenths and 2mph slower than some of the others I race at due to elevation. What was your 60' on that run? I couldn't do better than a 14.3 with a 2.08 60' due to the fact that on the 1-2 shift it'd spin the tires hard.

There was a local guy here at a dyno day last weekend with a stock 94-95 'vert with an S trim and he made 278 at the wheels if memory serves me right. I'll check with yeahloh95 as I know he knows for sure. With the mods listed and a stock S trim setup I think those numbers are about right. However, when you start adding things like a power pipe, TB, intake, etc then I can totally see 330rwhp+ being very attainable and the 1/4 numbers will reflect that. With ONLY the mods listed above I think my quessimates are pretty accurate.

The GT40 intake is a decent piece, and it looks great, but there are cheaper and better alternatives out there if you are buying one new. A new intake will definitely help your car though!:nice:

i just watched a car dyno this weekend ,same mods no intake, no power pipe, and it made 275 to the wheels. i think an intake might put you at 300 with the blower and get you into the low 13's, high 12's on a good day with traction.

Im basicly looking to get into the high 12s. If these mods wont do it, ill go with and aggresive tune and hopefully that will do it. I plan on running on micky track slicks so that will help, but if i still need more, ill go with 10lbs of boost, 24lb injectors, and a 190 pump. That should certinly take me to the dance. Any tips from you guys though who are there now would certinly help

Ha, sorry bout that. I also had pulleys and a CAI, which yes, makes it more reasonable, yet I think still pretty quick since it was on street tires. So yeah I had everything you had aside from the intake and TB. 60 ft was a 2.0

10#'s of boost on 24# injectors is asking for trouble. jew crasy mang?
why waste your time buying the 190. the 255 is like the same price and flows more for later. do it once.
