Hello all. I have been reading everything I could find about the CAI kits for the GT's for the last month and I have found that the there are two kits that have made there owners very, very happy:nice: . The JTI and the C&L. I like the looks of the JTI and the idea of something other than metal for an intake. (I think it should stay colder and cool down faster in stop and go traffic) The only thing is, after all the praise and every good thing I have read about the Tunable induction kit, it is now proving hard to find for sale. Why is that? the C&L is every where and every body and there brother have there own tunes out for it? I'm stumped on this one. Who sells the JTI with a good tune on a Diablosport Handheld Tuner?
Thanks for your help fellow stang.net forum patrons.

There are several vendors who sell John's product..you can actually buy direct from him. his website address is tunableinduction.com or you can also purchase from [email protected] and also from www.modulardepot.com However they and myself will each recommend that you go with the SCT X CAL 2 Tuner over the Diablosport Predator. Anyway hope you find this info. helpful, and good luck with you're choice :nice:

Thanks

thanks for answering that so quick, but now like a wife during a football game I must bother you with yet another question. Why the Xcal2? I went in to my local shop today, JPC Racing and they told me that they don't use it because it is less user friendly and harder to make the small adjustments quickly. Having no personal knowledge of either system, I ask please enlighten me. I have read the threads about them both, but it always starts and ends with "mine is :bs: better because it :bs: is the one :bs: I have and use!:bs: " You know? Thanks again
(I think I need to change my name to Sir, Askalot)

From what I understand..SCT will be updating their software I believe in August, which will be available, in providing addtional user friendly options, as for the SCT being harder to make adjustments ? if you ask any of the major tuners, they will tell you the complete opposite of that, in addtion the SCT is much more accurate and dependable, compared to the Preadator. Also if you ever need to contact SCT customer support, thier much easier and much quicker to get a hold of, especially when you need help and support, the most...Anyway check with John at www.tunableinduction.com [email protected] and even [email protected] of these sources that I've listed, will highly recommend the SCT tuner. Anyhow, hope this answers some of you're questions and once again, good luck.

Yep

Thanks again:nice: , yes it answers my questions. I was going to go with the Xcal2 until today. I think I will treat this like a multiple question test and go with my first answer of the Xcal 2 with a JTI. Now just to see if there is any difference between the three places that you have pointed out to me:bang: . Thanks for all your help and hope to get to change my sig from stock to something more powerful!:SNSign:

Tonight Maybe?

Ok if you find out who the tune is coming from and they are reputable I will buy from part:SNSign:shopper tonight. Also will it come with just one tune or will it have the regular, mid grade, and premium fuel grade tunes? Everyone should remember how hard it was to wait for there first mod. Man I can't wait....:Track:VROOM!:Track:

(Let me second guess myself a second)
Does anyone else think that I am buying the best intake on the market/bang for the buck?

The tunes are by Ryan @ SCT, specific to the system. I upload the 87,91, & 93 octane tunes.

Partshopper :SNSign: Is one of my dealers and it helps support the forum.

Contact Mike or Chuck. Let them know your processor code (located on the processor, computer, bolted to the right side of your underhood fuse box). It'll be a 4 -digit code i.e...GYX1, CDC3. And the color choice (red or blue) for the filter.

Thanks and I hope you like it.

As for quality, excellent customer service, and most important, if you're looking for the best bang for you're buck..YES you're getting the best intake on the market, In my honest opinion. The only reason why I'm considering Steeda, is for warranty reasons (only) otherwise I'd also be choosing John's system hands down. :nice:

I just installed John's system on my 06 GT and this thing is awesome. Looks good under the hood and stays cool even after a long drive in 90 degree weather. i had an Xcal 1 that I sent him to have the tunes put in and he did it no charge. Great customer service anytime you call. I'm very happy with it. I have yet to try it with the 93 tune but I will today. I'm running the 87 tune now so the 93 should be loads of fun.

Thanks very much you guys and thanks again for the business Jeff.

RED05BULITGT: Check out the site when you get a chance. I decided to go
ahead and offer a package with the exhaust, CAI/Tuner.

I noticed that Ford is only quoting +20 on the first comparable package. I'm hoping to see +30 with some upcoming dyno testing. I'll post the results.

Have a great weekend you guys!

Right, that is what Ford is quoting +20, but that is with their pro calibration tool, it's not an actual SCT tuner, The Steeda combo itself, includes the SCT X CAL 2 with SCT's custom tune at +30 However, nothing is written in stone, just yet..I'm still awaiting, Doug's results on you're system, along with brenspeed's dyno results for Steeda's, after comparing both results, I will then determine which system, I'll be choosing..

OK the rain stopped and I am once more:puke: sober from my going away party! So with my computer code in hand I ask, who is Mike and or Chuck?

Mike and Chuck are the partshopper personnel.

You can also simply go to the partshopper, cold air tubes, and you'll find my system there and order online. Just denote your computer code and filter color preference (red & blue) and unless otherwise noted the 'Stealth' system will be shipped. If you'd like the 'Signature' factory paint option system denote this also with your desired paint trim code (vin sticker, drivers door jamb, 'EXT TRIM', and what components in what color).

I'd be happy to answer any questions @ [email protected] (email address).

Thanks and have a great weekend!
