First off. How the **** do I get the water pump pulley off? I messed with that thing for 30 minutes and it didnt budge. And yes I took the bolts out. :p

Secondly: Do I need a bigger belt?

Third: Why is the crank pulley so small? I though they were supposed to be bigger. Kinda defeating the purpose I would think.

The crank pulley is smaller too compensate for the larger sizes of the water pump and alt pulley. I thought most UDs didn't require a shorter belt because of the crank pulley compensation, I don't know for sure though. But get a rubber mallet and whack the pulley. It'll come off as long as you took the four bolts out.

the smaller crank pulley makes everything spin slower, requiring less work to drive the accessories, and more power to the wheels. Belt size stays the same as the different sizes cancel each other out and run nearly same length as stock. I also has trouble with the water pulley. I ended up putting a big screw driver behind it and wedged it off. becareful back there tho

I'm not saying you all have no sense, but you've just gotta think....

1) Do you have air tools? Probably not, since that would be the obvious answer.

So....

2) Since when you take a ratchet to the pulley, and it spins freely, you've got to find a way to get it to stop spinning. You can either use a screwdriver in between the pulley bolts, pulling it to the right and turning the ratchet to the left.

3) Or...shove a big crowbar between the waterpump pulley and the crank pulley...

Good luck.

Oh, and you don't need a bigger belt. The tensioner will take up for any extra slack. I know because I just pulled my pulleys off today and I reused the stock belt when I put them on....

I got the bolts off find but once I did that I soaked the part that sticks through the pulley in WD-40, then tried to pry it off with a screw driver, nothing. Ill mess with it tommorrow when I go to where all the tools are.

One more question. The crank pulley, which way does it go on? The center part that bolts on isnt centered in the pulley, so do I make it stick out more, or put it on the other way where it will be closer to the engine?

i believe it mounts so the larger lip of the pulley is facing forward. If im wrong it will be noticable that the belt doesnt line up.
