just bought a 93 cobra with 49000 miles on a 306, trick flow heads, powermax 2030 cam, JE forged pistons, 8.5:1 compression, forged h-beam rods, and forged crank, mac shortie headers, 30lb injectors, votech supercharger, 8lbs of boost, 3.73, and is smog legal. just want to know what kind of rwhp and rwtq i am looking at? can i get more boost without blowing a head gasket?

With that setup tuned correctly you should see between 450-500rwhp and around 425-475rwtq. Without an intercooler it isn't recommended you run much more boost or you can install a water/methanol kit to cool your intake charge and allow more boost/timing while fighting detonation. I imagine you're running a stock block so you're hindered by only 10 headbolts being only 7/16" apiece, not the best setup for holding head gaskets. If you at least use head studs rather than bolts they will help. Also, are you seeing 8lbs boost on your gauge or is it an 8lb pulley on the vortech? Having 8.5:1 comp will reduce your actual boost level but will allow you to run more timing and/or boost safely. I run a 17lb pulley on my procharger with 8.2:1 (roughly) comp and I see about 13lbs at the manifold with stock style heads and 7/16" head studs. Careful though, stock blocks do not like to see over 450-550hp. Your setup looks to be strong, but the block seems to be your weakest link, I tore the front half off my last block.

Congrats on the purchase!

well the cobra is not tuned and puts out 385 to the wheels, going to murillo motorsports to have it dyno tuned w/ custom chip. it has head studs and the trick flow heads are O-ringed and on the guage it shows 8 lbs of boost. to check out the car go to www.210unlimited.com and go to inventory and find 1993 cobra not the convertable, but the hatchback

thanks, i just can't wait till i get her dyno tuned to see how much power she puts out. hoping for over 400 rwhp and rwtq, and was thinking about getting a custom cam.

how much more BOOST and RWHP will the mr freeze mentanol/water kit will add, how much boost can a stock block hold with out cracking, NOTE: heads are o-ringed, arp head studs, and 8.5:1 compression

Can someone help me? I'm trying to plan a 93 cobra grill modification? I need the measurements of the inside of the grill from top to bottom. Also the length from the bottom of the inside of the grill to the hood. Hopefully someone can help.
