My baby is finally going to be complete. The car is going in the shop for the engine work in a month, as most of the parts are already shipped or ordered. As time gets near, for my engine work, i'm getting a little impatient and i can't wait to see what my car will do on the track and on the dyno. So I wanted to compile a list of the parts i already have or are about to order to see if you guys could give me an estimate of my 1/4 time/hp numbers. Also, as you can see, I've put a lot of time in researching this project, and I'm about to spend a lot of money on this vehicle, so if you think I'm missing something, let me know. I appreciate the help in advance.

looks like a well sorted list.
Now I assume that you are in either a pre 99 car or converting to a return style fuel system? Or has Vortech come out with a 255lph returnless pump?
Might want to consider some further fuel system upgrades. Ie fuel rails and lines.
With 42#ers your keeping boost down? 12psi or so I'd guess. What CR pistons are you ordering?
Do you already have an aftermarket plenum that clears the 75mm tb? IF not you can port a stocker out to clear.

AS for the hp without knowing the compression and boost your planning on running makes it hard to guesstimate. And when it comes to et there are WAY too many variables to be taking into account.

Thanks for the reply man. The car is a 2001, the fuel pump is a vortech 255lph/in-tank w/harness that fits from 98-2004. I got it directly off the vortech site. I'm not really too knowledgable on the fuel system aspect of our cars, i purchased the pump and went with the 42# injectors due to a conversation with a local speedshop owner. We chose 42# due to the fact that its primarily a weekend warrior, but, i still tend to bang out the occasional long road trip, daytona, talladega, bristol, etc..with the old lady. As far as my boost is concerned, I was told 12 psi was pretty much the safest bet to go with, but plenty of people have already disagreed, and i got my information before I decided to go with the forged internals package, so now i'm a little unsure about that. I guess I can always change that down the road if it's an issue. The pistons that I'm ordering is part of the upgrade kit made by SHM, it includes the forged pistons, rods, crank, gaskets, etc, it's not manufactured by them, but i like how it's pretty much a complete pkg they put together, and manley from previous experience has always been a great company..., it's located on the main page of their site. I did not purchase a plenum with the t/b, as I was also told it can be ported out, and with all the work being done to the motor, what's one more quick modification, lol. I'm really shooting for around 525-550 rwhp/Mid 10's, so hopefully i'll be satisfied with all my upgrades.

Wish you luck with it. I wasn't aware that you could use a return style fuel pump on our cars.
Alot of it is going to depend on the CR you wind up having. IF it's 10.1 or higher your boost will be limited. IF it's 8.5 you could always dail in more boost.
As for your HP goals with the parts you listed I see it been possible. I think more boost will be needed though. As for your ET goal that's flying. Hope you got lots of seat time to make it happen. Either you'll need some weight reduction and be a champ driver or more power I think though.

As for the plenum yes it can be ported out to clear a 75mm TB. I did mine, quick not really but it can be done.

I'm definitely starting to think a full griggs racing drag suspension would def help with my track times too, i've been comparing cars with similar mods that have full suspensions and ones that don't. from what i'm seeing, the clean launch brought forth from the suspension, is really helping track times. and as far as the jerry mod is concerned, i'm actually going to find out next week if the place i'm going to for the install, knows about the jmod, or if not maybe the tuning place knows how to do it, because they're a big mustang/lighting mod place also. I've heard nothing but great things about the jmod. do you have it installed in your car?

Yes, I do. I've had it in for about 40,000 miles with ZERO problems.

Jmod+4.10's+PI still = FUN and loss of traction :nice:
