Hows it going guys, I need some help in changing my rear gears, wut is exactly need to complete the change? Thankx, Oh yeah and my buddies with a A4 3.0 and a Svt focus want to race, is that a lost cause or can it be done with some tuning?

depends on year/transmission. you need gears, while your doin it you might as well get a god tlok, and installation is gonna run you anywhere between 300-450. they should have an install kit, but if not, thats another 50-100 depending on what you get. 94-04 manual, you can get a tuner or a speedcal from dallas mustang. 94-98 auto, you need a speedo gear or a speedcal. 99-04 auto, only way to calibrate is a tuner.
as for the race, you will probably lose to both without some modifications. ud pulley, intake spacer, exhaust, short shifter for 5-speed (wont make you faster, but will make shifting more fun and easier), the gears will provide the biggest bump in acceleration though.
heres a link for everything you need for a bullet proof 7.5 rear end except for gears. i recommend either frpp, richmond, or motive. in that order.

if you have an auto and really wanna boost up your performance, get a xcal tuned by justin at vmptuning.com. it will make it seem like a totally different car.

Well I got some great news, I raced the A4 and took it easily! The focus is to come, but i think im going to need a few more mods before running with it. So far i have intake exhaust, throtlebody spacer, wut other mods that are cheap can i thorw on to help me out?

The TB Spacer is a waste by the way. UD pulley, tuner, chip, nitrous.
