This isn't necessarily Saleen related, but thought I'd share it anyway...
I just returned from a brief visit to Encinitas Ford in Encinitas, CA to return some parts I didn't need. I noticed they had a blue GT500 Mustang on their lot on one of those elevated display stands. Upon returning from the parts dept I meandered over to the 500 to see if it had one of those notorious "market adjusted price" stickers that have become so prevalent with dealerships. Indeed it did.
The MSRP was $45K & the "market adjustment" was $40K making it a $85K Mustang.
I just turned to the salesman who followed me over to it, laughed uproariously & muttered "Yeah, right", returned to my car & drove off.
I pass by that dealership relatively frequently as part of my employment duties so it will be interesting to see how long the 500 remains on their lot.
Knowing how foolish are some people, it may be shorter than I think...
