2.3 GT turbo 5-speed in FL

Hey gang,
I've posted up on mustangforums.com with a few questions about my new, or 'new to me' pony.

It's the 2.3, non-intercooled, fuel injected, turbo motor. I've been wondering if there was a stock bypass/blow off valve in there anywhere? If not should I be worried about compressor surge at stock boost? What is that stock boost level on the non-intercooled fuely motor anyhow? I read that the SVO's are pushing ten lbs from the factory, so I presume this non-intercooled setup to be running significantly less... but through many hours of forum searching and googling the actual number still remains a mystery.

What's the compression ratio?

Also, I'm wondering if this is a rare combination of options, because I can't seem to, for the life of me, find any other 84 turbo 'verts, IRL or online.

Speedy answers appreciated, I'm dying to get my wrench out and sink this thing south of a twelve second quarter mile.

According to the Fox-Body Recognition Guide compression was 8.0/1. Could not find boost pressure but stock HP is 145.
EDIT: Is it an anniversary edition GT 'vert ... if so there were only 104 made. If it's not an anniversary edition, the FBRG claims a total of 17,600 'verts were made that year but doesn't have information concerning what number of them were Turbo GT's.

I am not sure about the rare"84 Turbo GT Conv" unless the Ohio dealers made a nice purchase of them because my local Car Club has three of them and all in Black. Sometimes I wonder how Ohio with only 6 months of top down weather has so many early convertibles.

4.)What's the compression ratio?

1.) No factory bypass valves on the 2.3T.

2.) They all surge, but it doesn't seem to hurt much except boost response.

3.) A little detail about SVOs not mentioned is that they have a fuel switch. It is a switch that lets you choose between "regular gas" mode and "premium" mode. In regular mode, the ECU limits boost to 10psi and from what I understand also pulls some timing. On premium(which is what you should run in the cars anyway), You get more timing and 14-15psi of boost. '84-85 SVOs got 14psi, '85.5-86 got 15psi. Since your car has no intercooler, the boost was just limited to 10psi.

4.) Compression ratio is right around 8:1 on the turbo engines.
