having problems lanching

well when i went to the track to day, when i wluld try to lanch it about 3000rpms and below that all it would do was bogg down. but if i went above that all it would do was spin. what is wrong with the car now. can someone tell me.

you have to gradually let the clutch out as you depress the pedal...it's harder when you have higher gears obviously. There's a sweet spot you'll find only through enough practice...

also, you may want to adjust the level where the clutch is grabbing. This could be a factor
 
Yep, its all about practice. You'll know the sweet spot when you feel it. The car will suddenly grab and set you back in your seat. That's when you floor it and start grabbing gears (for us shifting peeps). Talk to the more experience racers. They will shed some light on the track's condition and how easy/hard it is for them to launch.
 
well with my MT ET Radials they wouldnt grab good untill ~4K rpm.
Anything less and they bogg.

Not sure what tire your using. Street tire?

On the drag radials I would do a small burnout, then pull to the line, keep the rpms around 3400rpm then once I was staged and the ambers came on Id floor it and dump the clutch.

The small time delay would allow the rpms to come up to about 4k before the clutch released.
