Help me choose wheels..

Just installed granada discs in front and the 14"'s wont do it anymore...we tried 15"'s and they were rubbing the caliper...So I need at least 16's...and I want to stay vintage with some torq thrust style wheels but no chrome...and I dont want to use any 1 in. adapters...So...what wheels can I choose from?

So why not go with some 16" Torq Thrust D's like 4.5" BS?

15" rims will clear Granada calipers, the ones you tried apparently have some messed up backspacing. My 15x7 cragar rims are nowhere near close to touching my Granada calipers.

+1 on the Torq Thrust D's. I have the grey center ones. A little bigger than 16's, but they are nice.

We just needed the car rolling...so my dad found some explorer 15" wheels, I didnt witness it but he said that they were rubbing against the caliper, from what Ive researched...the 15" torqs should fit alright. But Im not ordering something unless im 110% sure it fits! Id really like to stick with the vintage look and get 15's...plus tires are a lot cheaper...I checked those prices at vintage wheel works...sorry to pricey for me (college student)...

You can go 16" and still retain the Vintage look in my opinion. I did and I really like the Vintage 50's from vintage wheel works.

They have a good selection wheels.

Nothing wrong with 16" rims... heck I just bought a set of 16x8 a couple of days ago LOL

My only point was its not "needed" to clear Granada calipers.

something is definitely wrong there since granadas came from the factory ONLY with 14" wheels, there wasn't even an optional 15" wheel for the granada.

I'm running 14" Ansen 5 spoke (TT look alikes) on my Granada setup. It's close but I haven't had any problems in the last 10 yrs. I am going to late model Bullits soon though..just for fun.

Just got off the phone with mustangs plus...they said the 15" torq thrust D would NOT work with the granada swap!!! Then newstaglia wheel told me that 16" torq thrust D's might not work b/c of the 1 piece design...

I had 14" Magnum 500s on my car previously with granada disc brakes in the front and lincoln disc brakes in the rear-

In fact Im about to put the 14s back on- 14x6 in front- 14x7 in the back-

After the last few car shows I have gone too, I think the best way to be different is to go small again-

everyone has 16" and 17" wheels-

Im going 14" to be different- with 215/60/14 and 245/60/14s-

Yea...I called mustangs plus back and they said 15" torq thrusts should work with the granada swap...I guess they cant make their minds up...

ohh go with the 17" or 18" torque thrust 2s they are polished and beautiful. i have 17x8 on all four on my 69 fastback and love em... i also have 20x8.5 black bullets on my 06 gt, love those as well

Just like Bnickel said, there is something else up with your brake set up. The 14" and 15" wheels, in your first post, shouldn't be rubbing. Just buying a larger diameter wheel is probably not going to solve your problem.

It may be as simple as adding small spacer. I had to use 1/16" spacers on my front wheels to gain clearance for my calipers. How much interference do you have between your wheels and calipers? You can do a test fit by inserting some fender washers between your rotor hat and wheel. See how many washers you need to install to get clearance, measure the stack and order some spacers.
