I traded a 4 wheeler that I had $1800 in for an 89 LX coupe. It has been hit in the rear by a truck. It pushed the trunk lid in and the area where the tail lights are, only put 2 scratches on the rear bumper. Enough about that. It has a 347 stroker engine with Roush 200 heads, X cam, Roller rockers, Cobra intake, 24lb injectors, Aeromotive regulator, Gear drive, Headman long tube headers, X pipe, flowmasters, New radiator, Electric fan with thermostat, MSD 6AL, Venom 400 power module, Ford racing plug wires, Tremec TKO trans, 3.73 rear end with an aluminum SVO cover, strut tower brace, 4 point roll cage, Cervini hood, New smoked headlights, a set of weld racing wheels with like new tires and a set of pony wheels with new tires. Car can still be driven. It will strait up haul a$$. Great deal or what!?!?
I feel like I just hit the lottery.
I already have a 4cyl coupe to transfer the parts to.

The wheels on the car now are not mine. I have to take them off and give them back. I could not argue with that.

Lucky bastage!

What's the deal with those Roush heads? I think they are iron, is that true? A buddy of mine has some, and I'm considering buying them off him.

Thanks!

I don't know, they are iron. I would like to know myself. I know this car is very very strong. Feels alot stronger than my 89 GT. The shifter of the Tremec TKO is tilted to the left and all the gears are very close unlike my T5, is this how its supposed to be?

Looks like a relatively easy fix and alot less work than swapping everything to another car.
Take it to a community college with an autobody class and they can straighten out the rear panel and you would just need to pay a lab fee and paint/materials fee.

Yeah I agree with fixing it. Looks like a piece of cake to fix. Way easier than doing a 5.0 swap. Is there damage between the decklid and the rear window? If theres no damage there its easy. I dont think the rest of the car got any damage seeing it hit so high up, it just folded some minor metal and thats it. Probably have to replace or straighten the decklid hinges. I say.... FIX IT!
