Shelby GT500 Spoiler fit GT Decklid

Thanks to some nice lady in town (see attached pic), I get to remodel the rear end of my 06 GT. So now the big question is, has anyone put one of the GT500 spoilers on the GT trunklid? If so, was it a direct fit or was there a different bolt pattern? I'm guessing it bolts in the same position as the GT spoiler but hopefully someone can educate me on this. Hopefully it does not need new holes drilled.

I figured this is the best time to make the switch....so any help is appreciated!

Also going to add the Shelby bumper. Just enough of a switch to make it mine but not to the point that I'm trying to clone :)

thanks, LB

Hope you stayed injury free, good luck with the switch. I'm waiting for someone to nail my stock hood with a rock or some small pebbles maybe just enough to leave a pretty dent. I've been eyeballin the numerous hoods that are available. My wife says no right now, but if disaster strikes:D I'm in the maket for a new one.

I'm assuming there is tape on the two posts that the stock spoiler sit on? What did you use to clean it off?
07 GT,
I didn't see a response to your post so this is what I used to remove the crap left over from removing the stock wing from my GT:
3M Adhesive,Wax, & Mark Remover (About $6.00 at PB's, Wal-Mart, etc.)
3M Finish Restorer (Strongly suggested, though the Remover didn't damage my paint. There's usually some funky light residue and the Restorer removes it)

Also, if you don't mind the funky junkyard look, I used body plugs to fill the holes until I decide what type of spoiler to put on. . .if I decide at all, though I'm leaning to the GT 500. I would love to see some pics of this spoiler on a TG GT.

I have the GT500 spoiler, installs in the same holes. also as mentioned it has the
2 sided tape, a friend who owns his own bodyshop painted it for free, installed it
by myself no problem, it took about 1 hour to remove the stock spoiler, clean up
the mess created by the tape from the stock spoiler, and install the GT500 spoiler.

Have any pics of it installed?

Here is an update to the car. It took about a month to get it back but I'm very happy with the results. We were actually able to get all OEM parts which is unreal in the insurance industry since it was last years model. Anyway, I've attached a picture with the shelby bumper. I wasn't able to get the spoiler on this trip because it had no damage. I will get it soon though. I am looking at a 5-lug for my 91 and also looking at a 65 stang to purchase so it will be after those items are addressed. I will post pics once I get the spoiler.

partsbill - thanks for the info. I am definitely towards the shelby spoiler based on that. I have a buddy that owns a paint shop so I'm in good shape there too. I already checked price and I can get it for around $230ish.
