monte carlo bar install

what is the trick of installing a monte carlo bar in a 65 mustang with out beating it up?and where exactly should it bolt on? seems close to the distributor

You will have to support the car with jack stands under the frame rails at about, or slightly rearward of the firewall to let the shock towers settle back out. This may take a couple days.

You can get either a straight or curved bar to clear the distributor you have.

i have bought the curved bar and i thought i had read about jacking up the car. thanks for the info.

Actually, jacking it up by the engine crossmember will probably work better.
