Want to build streetable svo!?!

Hi I'm a new memer and I just picked up an 84 svo. I was hoping that maybe somebody can possibly tell me how much power I can get out of a turbo 2.3 while running 91 octane. I will be rebuilding the motor and putting in aftermarket pistons and rods. I checked out this web site but it doesn't really help me out with my question, just has alot of different set ups.

The sky is the limit...assuming no limit in funds. People have made 450hp on pump gas...but not without significant mods.

You might be more successful coming up with a goal for hp or speed in the 1/4 mile and asking what it will take to get there on pump gas...

me as what all of the above said. just bore it out slightly do the forged internals and other appropriate work and you can have a nice cruiser.

I do know that my 84 came with forged internals but I want to upgrade because I already smoked the crap out of a #4 piston while racing an LT1 camaro(won the race but smoked the motor-7,000rpm). This car is only a toy to me and I'm justlooking to get as much power as I can but still have streetablility (reliable and durable) and possibly running on pump gas (91octane). Money really isn't an issue even though it'll be a couple of months or so to finish the car. I'm really interested in the turbo four performance, I was hooked when I first drove the svo. I have some knowledge about the turbo fours(rebuilt two motors-non-hypercreutic pistons; ) but I don't know ny good combinations to achieve my goal,I also have a shop tune the car for me. I am considering a 100+octane car if the power numbers are to low for the 91octane car. So any info you guys can give me that would be awesome, and no,money is NOT an issue(still at home)

The stock internals have been proven to live for a long time at ~450rwhp and a few have pushed them into the 515-530rwhp range and lived to tell about it. If you smoked a piston already, your tune was not very good (most likely went lean).
