Here ya go guys. Ordered the Q400 hood. Was around $400 + $150 shipping (ordered thursday, was delivered to me the after the weekend on monday). I sent it to the body shop that we use at work (BMW) and it was $800 to get the hood painted and for the guy to strip my bumper and repaint that as well. So hood and bumper were repainted with the tops of the fenders blended.

Here ya go:

Did you all know that the Q400 Hood is a Heat Extractor cowl hood as well? I didn't know that until it showed up at my door and i inspected it. It was a NICE bonus to say that least!!!! hehehe If you didn't know either, look at the last pic (above) and you'll see the whole in the cowl on the driver side :)

the hood looks sick! i have the same one. it really gets the heat out. also, its not a me to hood like the cobra r. you have one bad a** ride. clean as can be. :hail2:

nice hood steedagt! can you take a close up picture of the actual hood latch though? I have the steeda cowl hood without the louvers and it doesnt fully engage the locking latch, so i had to use hood pins

Sure thing man. I'll take some tomorrow for you. STEEDA's website says that the Q400 hood doesn't need hoodpins, but i bought some anyway. The hood is locked on nice and tight, but i dont fully trust it just cause it was such an expensive hood! haha. I'm debating putting them in at the moment. I like the clean look with out them, but i like the look with them as well, so im not sure what to do.

And thanks for the compliments on the car, but I haven't washed it in about a week literally since its been at the body shop. There is light coat of pollen on the car too, but hey i'll take all the compliments i can get :nice:

nice choice, i just got the same hood too!!

i got my car back today after a month and a half in the shop. the hood looks awesome in person. i was having a hard time settling on a hood that i wanted until i saw mustang90's pics a few weeks back and loved it. i ordered it that night.

im also debating pins...it latches alright, but not as easily as the stock hood did. ill probably get pins for it to ease my mind.

looks awesome:nice:

very similar to the one I just put on mine

nicely done

edit......you're not running the Ford factory hood bumpers there....the little round rubber thingys that press into the pedestals on either side of the latch plate on the front of the underside?

No i believe I removed them for the hood pins. See i had hood pins installed on the stock hood anticipating putting the fiberglass Q400 on. But i removed the pins from the screws (that are welded in where the bumper stops were) to install the Q400 hood.

Now, i currently have not yet drilled through the Q400 hood to reinstall the hood pins. So no the bumpstops are gone at the moment
