Wondering if someone with an 05+ GT and a Brenspeed tune can fill me in on what % Lean (or Rich) the tune is running at. I've got a Predator and can adjust how lean (or rich) the car is to run via the fuel table and am wondering what those Brenspeed tunes are running @ w/ the Xcal.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Well, every car is going to be different. A good tune for an NA motor should be around 13:1. The only way to tell is hook it up to a wideband. They try to hit 13:1 when they give you the tune, but every car will react differently to mods and tunes, so a wideband on the dyno is your best bet to check out the AFR.

I believe that with both the Predator and the XCAL, the Fuel % adjustment which you speak of refers to changing the tune you have loaded on the predator by XX%. Unless you know what you're doing, don't do this, or you may become the proud owner of a Vapor Metallic paperweight.

You and a million others. That is why you cannot read the tune. Spend the bucks for your own SCT

It's called helping out. I'm not asking for all the tune parameters. I'm asking how lean the cars with the SCT Brenspeed tunes are running.

I can modify my Predator no problem, hell I have it dyno tuned by DiabloSport themselves. I'm asking for my own reference. I've got my Predator's fuel base set to 3% lean on both RPM ranges at the moment.

Was just curious so no need for rude comment

The percentage should be 0, that way you can tweak it up or down 3%. But again, you'd have to run a wideband while dynoing to figure out how much you should change it. You don't want to blindly change it unless you're throwing lean or rich codes.

You really shouldn't be messing with the AFR without seeing your AFR on a dyno with wideband monitoring. 4% is quite a bit of change. If your tune was dead on 13:1, that could put you in dangerous territory, and you could be losing quite a bit of power. You can't blindly change your AFR unless you're getting CEL's indicating it's needed. If you were getting a CEL saying you were running rich, I could see leaning it out until you can get to the dyno, but otherwise there's no reason and you really could be harming your engine.
