Definitely time for heads!!!!

Ya i just got a some of these heads for a 347 also and i hpoe that it makes big power to man. My set up with these heads should have bout 10.5 or 11:1 comp with a flat top piston.

I called and spoke to Gunner for about 40 minutes yesterday. Real nice and stand up guy. From what I can tell and from talking to him, Patriot Performance is a real stand up company. He sat there and told me where every single part came from that is used on these heads. Gave me examples of who else uses these types of parts and was upfront with everything.

Needless to say, I ordered a set and should have them within 2 weeks.

Another good point of the company, they don't rape you on shipping. They ship at actual cost which is a rare thing today.

Thanks for the help Gunner.

i checked patriot performance out at the PRI show in orlando. the stuff looks really nice and they are very professional and know their product. i just sent in my order for the headsand they should be on my way. cant wait to run them

Placed my order today!!! Had my dad call b/c I had work and I have no CC but I am PUMPED lol. Gotta get some rockers and pick up my cam this weekend(lunati 51014) hen winter break it is on.

thats my dd, remember ive had 5 stangs, 2 h/c/i cars and one with an intake lt's and other crap (vert) and the other one was an svo with 20psi of intercooled boost!!!:D

na it should ride purdy well!!! my notch should ride pretty well too :rlaugh:

oh yeah I have to go to an apperance in atl soon about my drivers license, they might suspend it becasue of the wreck, they ruled it my fault, keith got a $40 dollar ticket, I got one with 3 points and $100!!! I got ****ed major.......

but the notch I have everything but a 5 lug rear (sn95 ftw) and heads and a cam, after I get everything I good, to tear down and rebuild with some baller parts, should be just as fast as my 86 gt ( it ran harder than keiths 96 gt by far) and plus I will have a 35k mile 5.0 notch, perfect paint and interior, good system and sn95 brakes, I might put abs on it as well.........

I unblocked you just to see what you said here and it was exactly as I expected. I don't want P heads or any iron head, I had put those parameters out to begin with. Besides.... ****ING PATRIOT HEADS HELL YEAH.... Sorry Im still excited.

well i figured you would like a cheap set of decent performing heads...but that price from them heads...cant beat it...jump on it!

Apparently, you don't know what he already has done to his engine. He has already done what you suggested, he just didn't use the heads. Stop giving advice until you actually know something, or actually start doing a little research.

thats why i said "sell the parts you have left and dont use to make some money back"

I am going to bring this back from the dead to give an update on my Patriot experience.....

Needless to say, I am a little dissapointed.

I have these on my engine, See sig, 351 11.1 compression, custom hyd flt tappet cam........ Car only trapped 104 in the quarter.....granted it was a hot day and we had some tuning issues but still...bit dissapointed. That would not of been so bad as the other issues we had with them. The first time I put a spark plug into one of the holes, it stripped and jacked up the plug.....it was obvious that that plugs angle was off from the others, no it was not cross threaded as it went almost all the way in before u had any issues. Looked as if the holed was tapped at a completely different angle.

I blew a head gasked with studs in so the heads are back off right now and at a local porters shop to get done. He was not impressed with them either. Said the area around the valves was a joke. Someone (guessing from the factory as I bought them brand new) has been in there with a grinder and almost went too thin, they didn't really know what they were doing and now he has no material to shape for flow. A few of the valve seats were not correct (raised is what he said, not sure what he meant). He said it looked as if the bowls were blended before the did the valve seats (agian, he was speaking over my head here). So I am going to have him try to salvage these and see what we can do with them.

Just a piece of info for anyone who might be considering them. They are just a cheap aluminum head and nothing more. I will have actual flow #'s from before and after to see if they flow anywhere near what patriot claims. My porter said he highly doubt it b/c the way the valves were inside the runners.... I can tell u that the exhaust ports are tiny compared to my actual headers, i kept blowing header gaskets and couldn't figure out why. When I pulled the heads there was burnt spot at the bottom of the ex port where it was smaller than my bbk swap headers by about 1/2 an inch.

So, if you are considering these, snd them to a pro or do it ur self if u know how to have them worked over. Again, will post #'s when we get them.
