the project isnt going yet, im just working out my budget for the build so i can plan for it. it will consist of a 5.0l forged stroker shortblock with stage 3 heads and either a big single or twin turbo's, havent decided on that just yet. im shooting for 700rwhp on boost and plan to spray atleast a 200 shot on top of of that. and keep it in a streetable package.

Hey this might apply to this thread but does anyone have any ideas on good looking/ stock looking roll cage? I have a 2002 vert GT that is completely stock looks wise. It does have a 1.7L KB on it though and I think it could use some bracing. I just don't like the idea of throwing on a roll cage and looking like a drag racer or auto x'er. I like the sleeper look. If anyone has pictures of good setups that'd be sweet too. But back to the thread at hand...

And for convertibles you need a roll bar if 13.49 and faster.

Except for Lapeer Dragway by me which is 13.99. One day I ran multiple 13.00-13.30's no problem.

The next weekend I run 13.71 and they point their finger at the gate...."You can't run that car bud!" I was freaking pist!!! Don't play by the rules one weekend and not the next. :notnice:

Its all depends if they have their NHRA license. My track lost it half way through last year and there were guys on bikes running in t-shirts... NOT smart...

Looks like I am going to have to share a helmet with my buddy this season, hopefully next season Im sad because I will need a cage :)
