i have a v-7 y trim on a 331 h/c/i motor and i need to get it tunned its running rich at idle and every where else i bought a wide band for it and tried to tune it myself with just dealing with timing and fuel presure. i have 42lbs injectors and 255 in the tank. the local shop wants wants $630 plus tax for chip and custom tune. i know thats steep but they are the the only shop i know i can trust that will spend the time on the dyno and get it right. what im asking is should I spend the money or keep on tryin to tune myself or is there another route i can take. Does anyone have any suggestions?

i have a innovate wideband and i was just tuning by fuel preasure and timing. i really want to go to the track and im tired of dealing with it. it just sucks i have to fork over all that money

unless you are going to really get into it and get a stand alone system. such as tweecer, mega squirt or whatever. the 600 or so is money well spent. getting it custom dyno tuned will get you much more joy with the car. they can change and tweek everything to make it all go together the way you want.

yeah i dont want to go the tweecer route because that will take alot of time to learn the system and get it right. the car feel fast right now but i know she still has alot in her. and one more thing i fouled out the plugs so i know im running rich and air/fuel is high to mid 11's.
