You prolly dont want to hear this, but for a little bit more money, why not get a complete cat back?

I did the weld in method, had a shop professionally install it, but it just didnt look right. the mufflers didnt look strait when looking at the rear of the car. It always bugged me. plus I paid ~75 bucks to have em welded in.

I bought the magnaflow cat back, and installed it by myself in an hour. and it has nicer exhaust tips.

If you have them welded in I would keep an eye on them as they work. They usually don't like people to do that but you are paying for it so you should be happy with the end result. Alot of the guys that work at the local shops (not saying all) don't really care about the quality of the work they put out as long as it will pass for the average consumer. Well, we are not the average consumer and no one loves your Mustang like you do and no one will judge the work on it like you do. If they try to pass off a crooked muffler to you don't hesitate to raise hell and say "unacceptable". If they call you an a**hole after you leave so what. If you don't do the work yourself make sure you get what you paid for.

flowmaster super 40's

I just purchased Flowmaster's 40 series delta flow "weld in". Im having a buddy of mine which happends to work at a muffler shop do the work for me. I've seen what he could do and i trust him. So, dosent matter which muffler you go with...thats you're taste and budget, just make sure they're o/o 2.25 inlet and outlet. If you get any bigger inlet/outlet, the welder is going to have to put in a nice thick bead around them and might look sloppy. I ordered my exhaust from CJPONYPARTS.com @ 65$ a piece..i cant wait to put them in.!!

good luck..:nice:

well looks like you got someone who did a poor job welding. My mufflers look straight as well as the rest of the stock catback.
