Time for new 225/60/15's ... need help

Just like it says. I am replacing the stock size tire on my 85 GT and of course can't find any decent replacements. I've read reviews on a couple brands at Tire Rack and nothing stands out. They are all pretty bad.
I am trying to maintain a stock look with the original 10 holes and do not want to have to buy a new set of rims.
I have tried a search here with no luck. Does anyone here have any constructive advice on replacing the OEM size tire?

PS ..... Forget the original Gaterbacks. Worst tire I ever owned

Gatorbacks are for harbors only : )

I like this tires : Dunlop SP Sport 2000E or 01
Kumho Escta KH11
Toyo Proxes CF 1

They are available here in Europe, because of big BMW cars etc.

Good luck with it. Nice car btw : )

I posted this question on another site and someone also suggested Kumho's. I'm going to have to give them a closer look.

PS ....... Four Eyes Forever!!

BFGoodrich G-Force Sports. Have them on my car, absolutely awesome tires. Only summer, though, do NOT try to drive them on snow or ice.

Snow and ice won't be a problem. The car has never seen either one, and never will. I was thinking about the BFG G-Force Sport until I started reading reviews on the Tire Rack site. Every review trashed these tires. Thats what got me asking questions. The biggest complaint was the amount of tire wear in such a very short time.

They aren't a 60k mile tire, but unless you peel out at every light, you should get 20-30k out of the easy.

If you want a softer compound performance tire, you will trade wear resistance - just get used to it.

Good luck...
