I crashed my stang today (PIC)

Hey sorry to hear about the accident, where are you located though? I've got a ton of mustang parts... including a complete ac setup I just pulled off my car. I was just going to toss the ac stuff in the garbage so you're more than welcome to have it. I've also got a complete lx nose, lights, and header panel, fan, and a hood.... which you can have for $200. That way all you have to really worry about is a radiator and the paint. Just drop me a private message if you're interested.

Did the cops come? Police Report? No insurance documentation?

I really hope this doesnt come back to bite you...

Well basically I live in florida the person in front of me slammed on the breaks I had time to stop but stang breaks just suck (never upgraded anything with breaks) I slid what felt like forever and tried to get her up on the sidewalk as I saw a clear way to do it and even pumped the breaks but nothing! The person I hit slid into the car in front of them.

Both people in front of me were fine and said they had no reason to get insurance involved as they had no damage, I only have liability.

Thats it, so I will get stuck paying for it, I figure The radiator support, new radiator, new ac condenser, new fan and new hood/bumper/headlights I will not get the front painted as the car needed to be completely painted anyways.

I am waiting on the estimate and hope it will be in the realm of 1500 to 2000 tops, I have found some parts pretty cheap and the shop its at works with my brother and a friend alot because my bro does some repo stuff.

by the way the car still runs and the fan actually worked it just got stuck however the radiator was a little twisted but it did not break either and the ac still works but again its some what twisted so the engine is fine and the pullys are all good, I drove it away from the accident but had it towed by a buddy to the shop.

Looks almost exactly like mine was about 7 years ago. I rear ended a Datsun pickup that had a tube bumper. It took out the hood just like yours, all 6 of the lights, tweaked the radiator support back about 1-1/2" and pushed the DS fender back into the door slightly. Can't tell from the pic if you had any fender damage. Seing as I did not carry collision, there was no claim on my part. I got some used lights ($50) and a used hood that happened to be the same color ($100), pulled out the core support a bit myself, added some washers to the hood latch to line it up, repositioned the fender and was good to go. I won't do anything else to it until I paint the whole car. If you have a buddy at the shop, and can do whatever you can yourself to save $$$, you should be able to get it back in presentable condition pretty reasonably.

Good luck!
